# Illinois HB 5970 (96th) — MUNI CD-NUMBER OF ALDERMEN
Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that a municipality with 15,000 or more inhabitants may adopt, by ordinance or resolution, not more than one year after (now, at least 180 days prior to the first municipal election following) the municipality's receipt of the new federal decennial census results a certain specified number of aldermen (less than the number required elsewhere in the Act).
